I know you can find out your daily lucky item to wear through a lovely phone but I am wondering if there is another way since the only way you can get the phone is in the summer at the fireworks festivals. I am guessing that once Katrina opens her shop she will tell you but she has only been to my town 3 times so far so it will be a while. In the meantime I am hoping there is another way.

I have this game for years and I still don't know how you obtain the tingle hood. Is there anything that I'm missing?

I'm not sure if there's a certain condition, but you get those hats from Katrina at her shop. She offers to buy the hat at times.
If you'd like to catalog the hat, feel free to VM me.
You can buy the tingle hood or celebration hat from her when you have bad luck and you aren't wearing the item to ward off the bad luck. I believe both are re orderable, however, she charges a hefty price, 10,000 bells. And you can buy these items for 200 once you have them.
You can also find out your luck item for the day by going to Katrina herself.

Also I'm pretty sure the lucky clover has no real effect. There's a huge thread floating around I think both here and ACC about their effect/lack of.

I'm not aware of any other way. If you really need luck for something, you may wear an always lucky item like the clover, or have the good-luck charm in your inventory.

It's this. Having it in your inventory gives you luck (Apparently specifically wealth luck, not entirely sure.).
I had misremembered, the clover is "lucky" in that it gives a nice boost (7,777 points) when placed with the right feng shui, not wearing it.

As much as I would like to buy one (would look great in Kasumi's witch house too) my WiFi basically doesn't allow me to do anythin except dream. I know it works with CharterSpectrum and CableMAX, but I don't think those are common.
