Guess I'm looking for some advice. Genji moved in an awkward area. Not bad, awkward.

He's pretty far away from everyone else and it bothers me, especially while landscaping. No one really talks to or about him and he seems lonely aha.
But I don't know if it's worth cycling him out. Perhaps it's just me being picky. Not to mention it'll take me a while to even complete the cycle.

Oh my, he is quite far away... If it bothers you that much, I'd let him go. Though it will take a while, you can always get him back. And in the meantime, you can experience sixteen (potentially) lovely different villagers.

Though, I will note with an edit... I have a very similar situation with Timbra. She lives on the opposite end of town from everyone else and didn't get any attention for a few weeks. However, recently, she's started to go to the south side of town more often, and other villagers talk about her. Maybe it's just a matter of time before Genji starts to mingle?

It does bother me more than it should. Maybe it isn't as bad as I think it is aha.
Then again, I have ten villagers so if I cycle Genji out, someone else will have to leave too.
The farthest Genji goes is the plaza. Plus Pietro moved in after him and everyone interacts/talks about him. Still nothing about Genji.

Hm, weird. Well, if there's one thing I've learned about ACNL, it's that if something is bothering you, you should try your best to get rid of the problem before it festers. (I guess that's a life lesson as well, but y'know.) While having to cycle out two villagers seems like a daunting task, you technically have all the time in the world to get them back. Personally, I suggest doing so.

first off, i absolutely LOVE your map layout oh my god thats so wicked looking. is that town available for a dream address? sign me up.

also, if him being so far away bothers you, go ahead and cycle him out. my map got wonky when snake moved in WAY up top of my map away from everyone else, so the next villager i got (lucky) i moved him in literally two or so spaces away from him. so now they're the distant bff neighbors in my town. hahaha. everyone still talks to them a little but they interact with each other a lot so that makes me happy knowing he's got a partner. :)

so you could either cycle him out, or maybe get a new villager and plot reset them until they end up close to him so he has a buddy?

It wouldn't bother me if Genji was cranky but as a jock he seems really lonely lol.

Thanks! I thought it looked really unique. And not yet ehe. Landscaping has been put on hold because of the Genji situation.
That's so sweet that Snake and Lucky have each other. If someone else was near Genji it wouldn't be so bad. But he's so lonely. ;_;
Though I'm leaning towards cycling him out rather than losing someone else.
EDIT: I mean, I'm going to lose someone else regardless aha.

ultimately it's your town, and if you think getting rid of him will be easier than just giving him a buddy that's what you're gonna do. <3 and that's totally okay. i hope you find out what you want to do and it all works out for you in the end. i wanna see your town's DA sometime, because i really love your town layout that's so wicked. makes me wanna make a third town with a crazy map now.

Whenever that happens to me, I make a new character and move them right next to the villager who is alone. Or I give them a nice pwp that will encourage other villagers to venture over that way.
