Can someone please help me here?

I just lost Diana and was told I can't get her back until sixteen villagers leave. I've never done the cycling thing, in fact I've only just started TTing (which is how I lost Diana - trying to cycle out another villager).

Can someone explain to me, simply, how I can do this? I need to know exactly how to get Diana back. I don't know what voids are or anything... You wouldn't think I'd played since the release date!

You need to cycle 16 villagers out, but you would probably lose other dreamies in the process.
So :/.

I don't TT, but I think what would be the most cautious way of TTing would be only moving forward one day at a time and making sure you figure out who is wanting to move before you TT again. If it's a good villager make sure to stop them!

It's ok, luckily only four of my villagers are ones I'd like to keep, so I can do it, but I don't know how and the guides are confusing as you need to know what things are to understand them.

Yeah, I definitely will do that from now on.

Ok then.
What I would do, is cycle 2 days ahead.
You could do 4, but I like safer then sorry.
You cycle 2 days ahead, talk to a 'junk' villager.
They might tell you if anyone is moving out, if they tell you a dreamie or something is moving, try to stop the villager. You can do this by 1: creating a new character to ping you.
Or 2: wait for them to ping you. If no one is moving cycle back 2 days. Then keep repeating and repeating.
That should take a month or so to work if you do it

Thanks so much! I really appreciate the advice. Here goes nothing!

Imagine how fast grass would deteriorate if we had bikes? Plus the town's not exactly huge, it's about a minute from one end to the other. On foot. While walking. Actually on second thoughts, if there were no trees in the way it would be great to cycle around, doing wheelies around villagers and jumping up the ramps from the beach and flying through the air, skidding to a stop. Looking all cool. This is the best idea. The next Animal Crossing game needs to have bikes in it. I even bought a Mountain Bike from the shop but it wouldn't move. Must be remedied.

I think you may have replied to the wrong thread! :-P

I think I just appear to have misunderstood the title, now that I think about it cycling in your way is much more pertinent to New Leaf. But what do you think about bikes in Animal Crossing?

Hahaha, that's so funny! I didn't even click. Bikes in New Leaf would be awesome, but only if they didn't trample flowers.

Personally I would TT one day forward at a time, fill my inventory with flowers, pick two favourite villagers and I'd talk to them at least 15 times or until they wouldn't talk to me anymore, they'd tell me who wanted to move. If you liked said villager tell them to stay, if they refuse close your game without saving and speak to them again until they agree to stay, do the same method if you want them to leave.

When I had the majority of my town full of dreamies I'd also run around a bit just in case someone pinged after speaking to a few villagers, just didn't want to risk it.

Btw I'd fill my inventory with flowers so they didn't keep asking for items when I spoke to them.
