Cycling?

So, I've recently picked up a second copy of ACNL to create a cycling town (just got it yesterday and will be posting the thread once I get things set up and get a full village). I'm wondering since I am using the same DS for both games if all the TTing of my cycling town will affect my main town. If anyone has any tips also on how to cycle effectively I would appreciate those as well. I've read many guides and still have questions. Is it better to TT with the 3DS system clock or to talk to Isabelle in game upon loading(which is how I've been TTing)? I'm really close to my dream village on my main (last two villagers are being fostered by my sister until I have room for them), and I really don't want to mess anything up on that game. Advice?

Since you have two copies, to keep from accidentally messing up the time on your main town, I would TT with Isabelle in the game rather that the 3DS clock.

Also, make sure to name the mayor and town different than your main town so you don't, again, accidentally put in your main town's cart. and TT on it instead of the cycle town.

Even if you don't use the 3DS clock, you can still do plot resets, campsite resets, and villager resets with Isabelle. Either you would have to wait for the next day or TT to 5:59am, save quit, and wait until it would actually be 6am before starting up with a new character.

Change the town with Isabelle! If you change the clock on your DS, I'm pretty sure that will affect your main town!
Also, for quick cycling, make sure you've obtained the 100% approval rating. Otherwise not many villagers will move out/ping you.

The approval rating is what I'm working on right now. So far I've only skipped ahead a couple days to get things moving along. I've had one villager move in already, I just wasn't sure if the TTing would mess up my main town. I really don't want to lose any dreamies I've obtained as I've already lost a couple before accidentally cause I didn't hunt down a move out ping. I've just seen a lot of people saying it's better to TT with the 3DS clock and others just use Isabelle, but it does make sense that TTing with Isabelle would be better in this case. I'm hoping to get an XL for my birthday next month, but there's no guarantee. Thanks for the advice so far!

People who say 3ds clock is better or Isebelle is better are probably the same people who argue over the correct way to say "tomato" and "potato"
((... old saying about the tomato and potato thing... it's about accent certain parts of the word))

I found 3ds clock very confusing and I felt like I was going to make a mistake. I found it easier to use Isabelle.
