Cycling question

Just out of curiosity; do you completely ignore the villagers you want to cycle out of your town, or do you talk to them? I know people use different methods so I'm a little curious.

Talk to them at least once so they know who you are. I would talk to my villagers sometimes, it just depended. If it was someone I wanted to experience for a while I would.

I introduce myself and then ignore them and then i pick 2 villagers in the town (not the one you want out) and i spam talk them every 2 days until they mention rumors, if the 1st one doesn't mention someone moving, talk to the next one. If the villager you want out is the one that is thinking of moving, speak to them so you're on speaking terms then go inside somewhere and then back out and keep running by them until they ping to say they want out. if it's not the one that you want out, stop them and repeat the process. I get the villagers i want out easiest this way because i had villagers i wanted to stay and didn't want to risk the foolproof method.

Yes, if you're trying to get them to ping you, you need to be on speaking terms with them, so talk to the villagers you to move out at least once a week. If you don't care if they ping you then you don't have to talk to them ever.

also i typically pick normal villagers as the ones to spam since they have the least diverse dialogue from my knowledge so i easily find out the rumor thing this way. and really? my luck is the other way around. they never want out but the ones i want out of my town are the ones that want to leave. getting a specific one out is hard though. i have to get my Sprinkle in Palette out to give to a friend
