i recently purchased a new cartridge and am currently deciding on which town i'd rather have ( the newer town having the better layout, but the older town being more 'developed' )

the other town will be for the express purpose of cycling until i otherwise decide

i was wondering if anyone had any tips or the like on how to function a cycling town ( main point: most effective way of cycling villagers )

and also, what are your cycling towns like? do you enjoy cycling? are there pros and cons?
do you believe it to be worth the time put into cycling?

it should also be noted that i only have one 3ds ( however between my roommate and i, we have three. so we can share ONE for both of our cycling towns. )

This one with dreamies:

Cycle towns can come with an added benefit if you don't have the beautiful town ordinance on. You get lots of weeds and can have weeding parties to help others get their weeding badge. I like cycling and have been using my method. I'm 1 away from getting my dreamie back bc she put her house in a bad spot. Just waiting to give someone their villager I'm holding. I didn't think I'd like it that much but now that I'm almost done I'm considering getting anther copy just to cycle lol

well i cycle with my main copy but im extremely slow because i dont want to lose anyone
if you dont care about the villagers in your town you can cycle using this. i havent used it because i cant control who moves but according to karen you will always have someone moving out using that method, so it's probably the fastest.

i only cycle to get back villagers ive lost tbh. i mean if you're doing it to get the popular villagers for free then i think you can do it, but after that i would stop. i guess if you feel good about giving away villagers too can be another reason to cycle. but other than that its not really fun and more of a hassle to me because i have to be careful on who i move out. but most cycling towns dont have trouble with this so they move villagers out pretty quick.

good luck

im not an expert on anything and i cant really answer any of the questions but foolproof cycling method is definitely best
karen made a thread but yeah

when a villager is moving you tt 1 year forward, save quit, tt another year forward, save quit, tt 5 days forward and a villager will be in boxes.

it takes me 10 mins to get like 4 villagers out

I'd limit myself to cycling at a certain time of day, for a set amount of time. I heard it can get pretty tiresome. Something to consider.
