Custom designs question

Is there a way of copying and pasting a custom design you've created onto a new, blank custom design so you end up with 2 identical copies of the same design?

Yes! When on the custom design app, hover over the desired pattern and hit your y button. You will be given the option to copy, click it, then click on wherever you want to place the copy. Hope this helps <3
