Curves or Straight Edges

Most of my cliff sides are straight, but just about every corner is rounded to give it a more natural look.
Yeah, this. Except when the river is right next to it and I can only round either the cliff or the riverbank, then I have to pick and be mad at the game.

My urban areas have straight edges and my natural forests have curved cliffs. I’m expanding on my urban areas soon so I’ll probably be adding more straight edged cliffs if I work with them. I like a mix of both though!

I round the edges but I like the sides to be straight. I think it just looks more clean.

I just do whatever seems right, usually I curve one side of the cliff and leave the other straight if I want a sort of pointed cliff (if that makes sense)

A bit of both, though mainly straight faces. I snugged houses up against the first cliff edge, so I cut them in a line, although I rounded the edges. My house sits back on the 3rd cliff, so that is a bit more curved, and the cliff wall that the campsite snugs up against is a gentle curve.

I'm still trying to get my riverbanks to be less jagged. I want to get them to gradual curves, but I haven't perfected that yet.

I try to make them curved them if I can. It just looks a little more natural to me. Though most of the cliffs for my third tier are squared for the sake of being able to have cornered fences up top.
