I just made the vital error of deleting my town waiting for tom nook to appear, I guess I haven't read into this whole tom nook selling thing because i assumed he just appears regardless when you choose to rebuild, turns out he doesn't. looks like I am not the first to have made this error and I certainly won't be the last no doubt...oh well

I'm sorry that happened! It seems a lot of people have had the same issue. Apparently your plaza tree has to be a certain size for Tom Nook to show up. I wish you luck in building a new town! <3

You should not blame Isabelle if the decision of re-starting your town was yours in the first time.
You should had checked the rules for selling the town.

That was a pointless risk trying to delete your town just to see how it was worth after all.

I would be terrified to even try as well. I already know the worth of my towns: priceless I can see one doing it if you have a starter town or one you want to remake. But regardless of the reason, this was a total bummer. I think they should have made it a bit more difficult to delete since it seems others are having this problem of accidentally deleting as well.

I deleted my second town to start over using my cards and Tom also didn't show up for me... but for me it was not a huge problem because I really wanted to create a new town, but I was hoping to start the new one with some money!

I got a mistake like this too. Everyone did who had a town tree that isn't level 3. Sorry this happened to you.

Seems to be a pretty common mistake now. They probably should have made it so it shows the price (zero or not) then asks you before confirming it, like how some people thought it would go.

Same thing happened to me but instead I didn't know that you had to have a town tree you could sit on :/
