iphone 4 video sucks. just because it records in 720p doesn't mean its good, its just a larger mess of ugliness to look at.Tyeforce said:If you're in need of a phone (or want a better phone), I'd get an iPhone 4 instead of an iPod touch. Plus, you can use iMovie to record and edit videos on the go on the iPhone 4, in full 720p HD, no less! But if you just want an iPod touch, I'd wait. The iPod touch will be getting an update soon.
The touch screen, in my experience is REALLY good. I have a first gen iPod Touch and dropped it multiple times, but it's never cracked. I don't even have a case.David said:Also, my friend told me her friend cracked her touch screen by dropping it. does anyone know if this happens fairly easily, even if you have a case on it?

The iPhone 4 camera doesn't suck. Sure, it's not the same level of quality as you'd expect from a professional camcorder, but it's not horrible at all. It's great if you need to shoot a video on the go and you don't have your camcorder on you.David said:iphone 4 video sucks. just because it records in 720p doesn't mean its good, its just a larger mess of ugliness to look at.Tyeforce said:If you're in need of a phone (or want a better phone), I'd get an iPhone 4 instead of an iPod touch. I don't see what the new ipod would be getting that would make it so much better than the current.
How often is that though, unless you're someone who likes to vlog on YouTube.Tyeforce said:The iPhone 4 camera doesn't suck. Um, excuse me, but I probably know just as much as David does about recording and editing video and whatnot. He may be a bit more obsessed with it, but I certainly know my stuff. No, the iPhone 4's camera probably isn't ideal for shooting a film or something big like that, but for little things where the highest quality isn't really important, it works great. But it does have fantastic camera quality for a phone.Jas0n said:How often is that though, unless you're someone who likes to vlog on YouTube.Tyeforce said:The iPhone 4 camera doesn't suck. David is a videoholic so I'm sure he can spot many faults in the camera that you wouldn't even realise, and if he doesn't care about quality at a point in time when maybe for some unknown reason he wants to shoot a video, I'm sure any camera will do.
Besides that, the iPhone 4 is basically the Windows Vista of Apple.. they've had sooo many issues with them. If I was you I wouldn't be recommending the iPhone 4 to anyone until they fix all the issues with it.
I don't record video on the go, the whole notion of recording stupid things your friends do, or something else with a cheap little camera... is dumb. And about you knowing more about cameras and stuff, I assure you, you do not. I've done courses in school, and online, and I'm taking 2 more courses this year, followed by film school next September, on top of that, I've been messing with cameras and editing since I was 12 years old. Also, another problem with the iPhone 4, is the fact that it's made out of glass, and gets demolished if you drop it.Tyeforce said:Um, excuse me, but I probably know just as much as David does about recording and editing video and whatnot. And you seem to be exaggerating the problems with the iPhone 4. Or should I say problem. There has been one; the antenna issue, which has been exaggerated beyond believe by the media. Not only does it only affect a very small percentage of iPhone users (I've never experienced it myself at all), but it's easily resolved by using a case, which is being provided free from Apple. Also, this issue isn't new to the iPhone 4. Many phones, including previous iPhone models, have this same problem (and worse than the iPhone 4 has it, too), but it's only being blown up by the media in the case of the iPhone 4 because of the controversial antenna design.
I've taken video classes, too, you know. You may know a bit more then me in some areas, I'll give you that, but don't tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about.David said:I don't record video on the go, the whole notion of recording stupid things your friends do, or something else with a cheap little camera... is dumb. Also, yes, the iPhone 4 is made out of glass. Gorilla Glass. Dunno if you're familiar with it, but it's *censored.3.0*ing tough. Much, much tougher than the glass that other phones are made out of. It won't scratch, and you've got to be pretty damn rough with it to even put a crack in it.
Well, of course it's still able to be cracked. Any phone is. That's why you take care of your phone. Also, had he used a case (which Apple is providing free, so there's no reason not to have one), it wouldn't have cracked like that.David said:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QRRN67jUQoTyeforce said:I've taken video classes, too, you know. I've dropped my phone many times, it doesn't shatter, it has a few light scratches. And no case. Glass is a very bad thing to make a phone out of, if someone drops it and has it break, then go to pick it up, you know how easily and deep glass cuts?Tyeforce said:Well, of course it's still able to be cracked.
