Hmm... a couple of months late. But, I gotta start somewhere right? So now is as good as any I suppose. Animal Crossing New Horizons is my first AC game. I don't really have friends because of my anxiety issues. So I'm kinda figuring it out on my own with help from these forums.
I restarted my Island several times just looking for unique villagers based on looks alone. I'd no idea about personalities etc. Eventually I settled on Boone and Phoebe. Looking back now I wish I had gone with the cute sheep Dom and Apples for my native fruits. Oh! Well! Lol!
I discovered that I had really been missing out! I LOVE this game. My father purchased the Switch and Game for my birthday after an article I read about how good the game was for people with issues like mine. I truly was surprised by how amazing this game is!
As I played more I found myself constantly engrossed and amused by the many things I'd learn. Boone became my best bud on the Island and Phoebe was a little difficult to figure out. The very first Mystery Island Tour I met Marcel...
He moved out a week later. Wasn't sure how I felt about this. However, I figured that it was just part of the game. Animal "Crossing" lol get it?
As time went by I learned that I should have been pickier with my villager invites. I was really reluctant to interact with Zucker. Till the day of my birthday when I gave him one of my cupcakes. He slowly grew on me and has become a villager dear to me.
I discovered the Amiibo Cards and jeez how expensive they are... ☹ It made me kinda depressed realizing how much AC I missed out on. My roommate and pretty much only friend atm "I know! Sad right?" Surprised me by getting me a Merengue Amiibo Card. She was extremely cute and Adorable!
I used her and removed Hans from my Island... He was the bane of my days in game. LOL! Looking back now he definitely made things interesting.
So a lot of time has passed by and I've wasted lots of Bells and Nook Miles. But, I've learned a lot over that time. I've met Diana, Julian, Marshal and Judy. Which I've learned are really popular villagers. I've been traumatized by that dang tarantula more times than I ever care to admit.Which brought it's own sorta humor. An then I decided to take a huge step in my world and join these forums in hopes to make friends and learn more about this game I love.
That pretty much brings us up to date minus a few details. I feel my Island is coming along well. I am excited to discover who my favorite villager is. An to hopefully make some AC friends to share gaming experiences with. "Note to my future self. You can do this! Anxiety and depression will not stop you from getting a real life."
