I'm usually uuuber careful when TTing so as to make sure my fav villagers don't up and leave without telling me

tonight however, is a different story
I got so carried away with TTing, trying to get a 10th villager from the campsite so that I didn't get some random villager plonk their house down in an awkward location

Kabuki moved in (yay), but at the cost of Bam : (

I'm upset because I had Bam and Erik in their own little foresty area but now Erik's all alone..
Although I wasn't planning on keeping Bam forever and I'd have been more devastated if Erik had left, they looked really cute together and gah

Have you ever lost one of your favourite villagers? from TTing or from general day-to-day play

Yep, I tt'ed to like November because I thought it looked pretty and when I tt'ed back (carefully) I lost Rosie....and someone offered me like 5 million bells for her and I see on the forums she goes for like 30m+ -___- but I really loved her and was sad

Oh noooo, Rosie
That's a worse loss than Bam I think

it's just horrible when you haven't even checked the map yet and you're making your way towards their house... and you're faced with a square of...dirt

That's the cost of TT'ing I'm afraid. No method is 100% safe no matter how high the success rates.

I've never lost villagers I like through TT. I've only ones I dislike (and only in my second game before I reset for my current town (Konohana)).

i know, to be honest i should have seen it coming : (

i've been pretty lucky like you in that i've only lost villagers i've disliked, tonight was inevitable i guess haha

No. I'm pretty careful with TTing. The most I've ever gone was 5 days forward. But I would talk to one each day until that fifth day, then just go back 5 completely.

I lost almost all my favorite villagers in City Folk, my sister loves TT'ing. -_-
I haven't time traveled (beside one day at a time at the very beginning), so I haven't had this problem in New Leaf.

I normally only TT a day or two forward at a time (maybe a day back) and talk to my favourites each time.
I also respond to all their pings just in case they want to move. Almost lost Winnie today after a villager told me the rumour of her moving. When I approached her, she wouldn't ping. Got worried there so I TTed to the next day and she pinged me right away to my relief. I wouldn't say Winnie's my favourite, but at the moment she's in a good spot to avoid any future PWP locations.

When I first started TTing I lost a few villagers. Francine was the first one I lost but luckily while she was in boxes someone nice on here took her so I'm glad :)

Aww QwQ I lost Erik, Purrl, AND Mitzi from TTing...why not any of the neighbors I ignore and hate?! >:c

That's how I lost Lucky... I was trying to get Anicotti out with the two day trick... I just didn't pay enough attention. :(
And the kicker... NO ONE WOULD ADOPT HIM. I put him up for free and not a soul would claim him. It was odd after all the people who want him now.

This is what scares me the most about TT, I try to accept who I have in my town and let them move out by themselves >.< I hope you get someone nice to fill that empty space out in the woods!

aww, you shouldn't be!
for me personally i get more enjoyment out of the game by TTing, but that's mostly because i'm currently in the process of (finally) doing up my town properly.
once i'm happy with the way it looks i'll play the game how it's "meant" to be played and only TT a day or so every now and again n_n

i just made a silly mistake by forgetting to talk to all my villagers - Bam was a fairly new villager so he never pinged unfortunately

and aw thank you haha, i've got Lopez reserved for me by someone so i hope to move him in Bam's old spot

I lost Shari and I died a little bit inside...I try not to TT very much any more because I like the majority of people in my town atm

I killed myself (and resurrected ) when Rosie, Skye and Shep moved out.

I lost Coco from TTing ;n; i then just spent the rest of the day cursing at myself and then getting sad. TTing gives you nice outcomes and sometimes terrible outcomes.. ugh, but I still TT all the time. It's an addiction I can't get rid of -.-
but I never really mind, you'll always see them appear on main street again, which is an addition I really like. they never technically leave, you'll always be able to see them again.

No, I have never lost a villager. Not even ones I give away. I go day by day to minimize the risk.

So far so good for me! If I TT it's only a day forward because I get really impatient and then I TT back to normal time if I go a day without playing.

The only villagers I've lost have left with my permission. And so far none of my favorites have tried to move!
