What is the most creepiest, weirdest, or glitchy thing you have ever seen in any of the animal crossing games?

In before Aika (which I personally found nothing creepy about.) Nothing out of the ordinary, really. The first time I had seen a tarantula and a scorpion in New Leaf, I was quite freaked out, because I had never seen these creatures in the previous games.

Well this doesn't apply to New Leaf, but my GC game had a few glitches. Alright so when I was little, I stayed up playing the game until 11 PM for the first time ever, and I found the music pretty scary at that time... (To this day it still sounds kinda creepy xD) Anyway, I saw a villager start going into their house to go to sleep, and I somehow slipped in the door behind them. They were in there like normal for a couple minutes, but then they disappear and then the lights go out in their home. I come outside and am locked out of their house, with a message popping up when I try to go back in that says something about not disturbing them because they are sleeping. I was really really creeped out because the villager just vanished right before my eyes!! I was only like 7, too...

Also, when you struck a money rock in the old games, the rock would turn red, and slowly fade back to the normal gray color as you ran out of time to strike it. But, one time I struck a money rock and it turned red, and I tried to keep hitting it but it was just solid, and it just faded back to normal. There weren't any items or anything blocking the money from coming out either, it just turned red and faded back lol. Just sort of strange.

I was over my friends town a little before Halloween, we were doing the dig a hole in front of a stump then fall in. Problem was I could never see the stump so on my 3ds they were sitting on air so it was kinda spooky ;)

I was visiting my SO's town and a piece of furniture wasn't displaying for me. She sat on it and it looked like she was floating in the air!

Also, last night I was watching Silence of the Lambs while playing AC (heck of a combo, huh?) and Gaston said the "Look! I'm wearing YOU!" line.

Cuteland Is Not so Cute

If you're looking for a positively creepy town, I have a Dream Code for all of you. Granted it is not my DC, I recommend this one for anyone looking for a spook.

Talk to Lloyd and get a shovel. You definitely want a shovel to dig out some... unsuspecting items in the Perfect Apple forest. You are in for one freaky, bone-chilling experience. Enjoy.

Cuteland Explained (Under a Spoiler)

Don't worry, I was the same way when I visited. XD I happened to meet the character in a StreetPass at Disneyland, so what that town is all about is a mystery to me, too.
What I think Cuteland is about is there is a family of a mother and two daughters. One of these daughters is sweet and kind, like the apples that appear all over town. Both daughters had an extensive doll collection, the sweeter of the two having the only red one which symbolizes... something. I'm still working on that.

The second daughter is more corrupt than her sister. Sure the house she lives in looks exactly like the other, but if you go into the different rooms you will notice very distinct differences. In her house she has no red doll... and she has an extra room open that isn't available in the other house. The theremin and mannequin in the right room with the custom red and black wallpaper should speak for itself. LOL However, that is not even half of the creepiness.

A little later on, you will encounter a Perfect Apple orchard with multiple dirt stars indicating buried things. You'll find Skeletons. The mother's house is deeper in this forest. She is the brains of the entire village. Her house is the most run down despite being the most open and developed. It's clear that she has a very sinister side and is not afraid to murder in cold blood. She aspires for perfection... for you to be the "Apple of her eye" if I remember her catchphrase correctly.

The villagers are unsuspecting of this foul play. Everyone is. They are none the wiser to this family's nefarious plans for systematically euthanized perfection. Mother sees all with her technology; there is nowhere to hide. Her forest is getting full of corpses used for whatever she turns you into along with the apples. All you can do is experience... and run away before they catch you and keep you in the dream. Cuteland is not so cute.

You know how the music stops for a bit between hours before the new hour music starts?
In my WW town one day it stayed silent the whole hour. I tried to save and quit and come back and it was still silent.
It gave the game a ver WEIRD feel, as I was so used to the music.
All the sounds were there, just not the hourly music... At the end of the hour the bell rang like normal and the next music started.

As for Cuteland, I wasn't impressed at all...
It seemed like the person wanted to recreate an Aika Village ambiance and type of story so bad (with the dolls, axe, creepy music...), but meh, it's not creepy and it lack the symbolism and huge effort Aika Village has.
Isn't the Cuteland story simply about the mom who lost her daughter (hence missing signs, and the funeral as she probably ends up accepting that she is dead) and then tries to clone her? And every clone that is not good enough is poisoned with an apple and burried in the forest? I don't think there's much more to it, and if there is it's not hinted enough...
In Aika Village there's just so much information everywhere it's insane.

This is super creepy knowing that when animals go in their house and turn out the lights...they disappear...

I haven't been to the Aika village yet, so this was my first experience with a village like that. As for the extra details, yeah I neglected to include them due to my faulty memory. Thanks for that reminder! :D Yes, that's the basic premise of the Cuteland story. Much more to the point and accurate than mine was~!

By any chance, do you (or anyone else) have the Aika DC or should I just google what it is? Thanks in advance! :lemon:

the Dream code is 2600-0218-7298.
Be sure to visit the houses in order, go in as many villager houses as you can and pivot the camera in every direction in rooms for all the details. :)
edit: Also, take a shovel and make sure you find the wet suit to go on the private beach.
