Creepy Cats

For someone with a cat username and cat avatar I don’t have any cats on my island.

I have just had one of my villagers leave and I was like you know what I’m going to go get a cat villager. So I look up all the cats available to get in New Horizons and is it just me or are some creepy as.

I am thinking of getting Kiki cause I have a black kitten in real life and she looks cute but the others

Tangy, Mitzi, Lolly, and Punchy are all adorable and not creepy in the slightest! I can see how the others could be a little creepy but that's part of their charm

I can see what you mean, but personally, I find none of them creepy. Maybe Moe a little because of those eyes, but i think he’s so adorable and I love his color scheme ^.^. I used to not care for Kiki’s design; Idk if it was her nose or eyes, but now I especially love that squished nose and her eyes are so pretty.

Katt and Tabby I initially was one of the people that thought they were ugly and had no interest in them, but thanks to @WaileaNoRei and others, I think they’re actually cute. They do have a unique design and appearance that i do see why they don’t appeal to many, but I think that’s part of what makes them interesting and unique.

Rudy: has the best expressions after Punchy (in my opinion). I initially was neutral about his rudolph appearance and thought I wouldn’t like him since the only other jock that i had (in NL) I didn’t like (the muscle talk bothered me, so now I realize it wasn’t the villager so much even though I couldn’t get him to move and that annoyed me).

Raymond: I love how he looks so grumpy; it makes his toothy grin melt my heart so much. I like some villagers with appearances that don’t match their personality. I don’t see him creepy at all but I can kinda understand why some people think he’s kinda boring looking even though I personally think he’s interesting.

Purrl: I am interested in her but I didn’t really have any interest in her until recently.

Olivia: I guess I can see why she may be creepy. I never was interested in her but I think she’s actually pretty now even though I like a lot of thr other cat’s designs better.

I don’t like Monique with the lipstick, but I don’t find her creepy.

I have 8 cats on my island, including Raymond, Ankha, and Merry, and find them all adorable. Not so fond of Tabby, Monique, or Moe though. To each their own. I have Mitzi as my normal cat but Kiki is super cute as well. Katt was one of my starters last time and I got quite attached to her unusual appearance. Can't go wrong with any of them.

Creepy?I'm not sure what you're talking about.

The cats are like any other species in the game.Some of them are an acquired taste but I like Tabby's weirdness and Katt's intense stare.

Glad to have you contribute to the discussion . This is what I love seeing no matter what my opinion of the villager is. I learn to at least appreciate them for being appealing to others and having something that makes them special to individuals. ^.^ Yeah This makes me want to give her a chance even more. ^.^ And hearing about people’s dislikes too is interesting too .

I forgot about Mitzi. I initially didn’t like her because of her eyes when she’s not smiling, but when I invited her to Harv’s studio and was messing with the reactions, I changed my mind and added her to the growing list of villagers that I’m interested in.

I never knew he existed until a while back.

Aw that was nice of @Hobowire. ^.^ (Funny thing I just realized is we were both referring to him in a thread about times we felt uncomfortable after a trade ). I too didn’t know about Rudy until one of my rerolls landed me him (at first I said oh no with a wrinkled up expression because I thought I got Katt). kinda funny though both have grown on me inspite of my terrible first reaction to seeing the back of his head. ^.^ so glad you like Rudy.

I like that realization with the villagers. It's nice when you see a villager you're unsure of and how you end up liking them eventually.

I'm not that fond of the cats to be honest. Part of them lose points cause they lack noses as I feel that lessens their cat cuteness. Some have really bad "hair" like Merry or Monique that just looks weird and out of place. I've also had cats plenty in real life, so I don't really want to choose a rather basic animal when picking from all these fantastic species in my little fantasy world.

I think the cats are overall one of the strongest species design wise. They have a lot of variation and all feel unique and fleshed out pretty well. I'm not a huge cat person irl but I have three of them in AC. They're really great overall. Although I'd say that deer or wolves are still probably a little bit better.

Cats are my personal favourites in this game. Punchy, Bob, Kabuki, Lolly and Rudy are my favourite villagers in the game period. Kiki is def a great pick/ her big nose threw me off at first but I like her now.

I feel like every species has one or two villagers that just look bad in your eyes. For me the cats I'm not too keen on are Tabby and the snooty ones. I get Monique is based on Marylin Monroe but she still is creepy af. I don't mind Ankha but I have a phobia of snakes so she's a no go haha.
