Could someone let me get their villager's signatures for a petition, please?

My favorite villager just asked me to get signatures for his petition! If someone would let me into their town for this I'd be really thankful! I'll bring a basket of perfect apples for whoever is kind enough to let me in.

Also, this is my first petition and I'm not sure what the etiquette is on gathering the signatures so I'd appreciate it very much if you'd tell me if you'd rather lead me to villagers for signatures or if I should go off on my own or what. Thanks in advance!
