Corruption????

I was wondering some ways that a corruption can happen to my current town I have no idea why I hate it so much and I dont want my friend to know that i recreated I want to corrupt it so she doesnt know.

If you turn off while saving, it'll automatically corrupt.

Why don't you want your friend to know that you want to restart?

A game card with so many saves can corrupt. A dropped cartridge in DS or wet cArtridge. SD card might get fragmented and bits of file lost causing the data to corrupt. Little save space on the SD. Too many read/writes on the game cartridge.

you want to corrupt your game on purpose so that your town is deleted "by accident" because you don't want to erase it?

I believe that the topic creator wanted to experiment on how many writes/reads does it takes for the game to become corrupted. Problem is, it's tough to precisely gather what exactly causes data writing to fail since it's an unavoidable random occurrence. From what I've seen based on various topics involving their town that somehow got corrupted, activities that often prompts the game to save (such as villager cycling) definitely raises the odds of corruption. The surefire way consists turning the power off or removing the Game Card/SD Card while the game is saving.

Um, I'm very confused - what does everyone mean by corruption? I've turned my game off whilst saving before and nothing bad has happened - but does it cause your entire town to be deleted or...?

Edit: I just realised that it looks like I was duping stuff... I've never duped anything, promise! I turned off the game while Isabelle was setting up beause I randomly forgot to change the date a few times!!

your WHOLE town is deleted and everything is lost so lets say if your 3ds or 2ds died whilst saving it might corrupt or it might not its completly random :/
