Corrupted town save data

Hi guys after getting this game back in 2013 an loving this game, after feeling proud for every series completed, every hybrid, every exclusive item I got and for every person that helped me, today my file became corrupted, the game still loads but attemping to safe and quit the game will no longer allow me to enter.

I am certain this is the end of my town, but I am here to ask if you know of a way to save my town or at least save some of my items, I am really sad this had to happen with no apparent reason.

Apparently my game is screwed, every attemp to save or to destroy town will not be saved, I restarted today a new town, the moment I save and quit the corrupt message show up again, if I reload the game MY OLD TOWN IS BACK.

Basically the game no longer saves anything despite messages saying it does, any attemp to save in old town or new town or even creating or destroying an existing villager results in corruption too.

Basically I have a game I can play but can't save or do anything meaningful, I have few cards to play but it seems my only options are to buy a new game or to forget about AC.

I tested another 4 games and everyone of them saved just fine so my 3DS isn't the issue

have you tried to save and continue?
try to open your gates, and allow someone to come in. see if it saves without a problem?
can you go to someone else's town and put all your items in their town for them to hold?

If you can load it, but can't save and quit, get a holder and reset, and investigate everything. You might not be able to save the villagers, but I'm sure that you can save some items over Wi-Fi if the only thing you can't do is save and quit.

The game apparently saves but the moment I try to enter again the game simply doesn't load anymore, then if I reset and enter again the game allow me to enter town but without loading the most recent save.

So in theory the game saves but then it corrupts itself leading to the error, so either I live in a town where further saving is not posible or a reset and lose everything.

Since in my time zone it's mother's day I haven't had the time to attemp any Wi Fi interactions

Yes I can load it but no saving anymore, I don't know if it is posible to save somethings but it might be a good idea to try that, I simply don't understand how this happened I don't mess up with the game. This was a bad surprise for me

Then I tried to play as my female villager and when Isabelle was on screen the game said that the game couldn't be loaded, in that moment I became worried but since my mayor worked just fine I feared that my second villager's data was corrupted and that I had to erase her.

Then I entered as the mayor again only to notice that everything I did today didn't save at all, I saved and quit without apparent problems, next time I tried to enter the same message as my second villager showed up and the game then said that my data was corrupted and must be deleated, if I turn off and enter again the game let me enter town again, but "saving" mess everything up

Wow that's just really strange. I read something similar to your story on google but I guess their town could've corrupted because of cloning. Not saying you do or anything like that. Anyways I just hate how you can't avoid getting corrupted data on a game like AC. I'm sorry that you have to go through this. Hopefully you could save some items.

Yes I believed the game only messed if you attemp to do something like that, but I am a firm believer in hard work to get what I want, I never time traveled, never attemped to clone among other things, this was a shock to me, I was so proud to tell people that I have had my 5 originals in town for 2 years.

Yes I believed the game only messed if you attemp to do something like that, but I am a firm believer in hard work to get what I want, I never time traveled, never attemped to clone among other things, this was a shock to me, I was so proud to tell people that I have had my 5 originals in town for 2 years.

That is unfortunate. I lost my save file a few weeks ago, but I only lost about a month worth of stuff, but it still sucks to lose all your hard work.

Yes it is physical because I am a collector and I love to "see" my games, thank you anyway for your words, believe me when I say I was at 800hrs of gameplay.

That is unfortunate. I lost my save file a few weeks ago, but I only lost about a month worth of stuff, but it still sucks to lose all your hard work.

I saw of this on Miiverse months ago and people said to the guy it was because he hacked which he denied. Now I know the game might corrupt with no apparent reason, it is all the way back as when your Pokemon Blue version data corrupts and you lose everything but worse. Thanks!

ah right. im the same way :/ spontaneous data corruptions doesnt seem to happen often with physical cartridges, so this is pretty strange and a bit troubling ;w;' if u end up starting a new town soon, good luck! people here are really cool and can help u get the things u lost in the corruption

yeah theres a lot of super cool players who can get ya the things u need to get back on ur feet ! oh dont worry, getting villagers wont be too hard. theres a whole villager trade forum where cycling towns are constantly giving away/selling villagers. ive even have people get me my dreamies w/no charge ; o ;

Thank you, since my wi fi is odd sometimes, let's leave everything here clear how many travels are you willing for me to take? so that I get more selective with what stuff to save.

Once I am on your town I won't talk I will just drop the things in the ground (yet again to prevent internet disrupts).

How much time you have?? you are already helping me out and I don't want to abuse your kindness, and finally if the process is not complited today (me saving my stuff at your town and then restarting and then going for them), do you go online frecuently?? maybe at this time?
