thank you to everyone that offered me dreamies, bells, and items and to everyone that posted in this thread at all, you don't know how much it meant to me!
However, there is a chance the data might still corrupt. I'll tell you guys if it does!
I will reset Starlark in the future but that's not until I've obtained all my dreamies. If anyone is willing to hold my dreamies and items
for me in the future, I will be eternally grateful!

I think it just started from the last time I saved before going to the person's town, something must have happened there. I have a few items that I traded with Diana and Fauna still here in my inventory, so that's my guess.

I hope it works out.I just wanted to say that when I read about your problem I tried out your dream code.You have a lovely town, and I love the main room in your mayors house.I also have Tangy, flip, and Deirdre in my town.lol.I just thought that was kind of cool.

Haha, really? That must be a weird coincidence, though Tangy has been replaced with Beau xD my town's a work in progress currently, thanks!

What? That still doesn't explain anything... you said it was corrupted and to my knowledge there is no coming back from that... but your town is mysteriously back now.....that seems a bit fishy to me >.<
However I'm glad you have your town back ^.^ ... even if it was never gone in the first place~

Flip. It got corrupted again. And I just finished working at Brewster's.
It only corrupts when I save. I've restarted it and my safe file's still there. Perhaps there's something wrong with the save file?

It's cool now! I have to constantly save though, that's my problem.
Deirdre just sold me a basic painting and I saved directly after that, she's very happy right now and singing what sounds like the chorus to Stan by Eminem.
I think I may have to restart Starlark to ensure it doesn't happen and also to get a proper town xD

I really can't understand why people are saying this is fishy.Why in the world would the topic creater lie, then say it was back ? If someone was lying to try to get free items, they wouldn't say " oh nevermind, it's back ".At least it doesn't make sense to me anyway.

Oh wow. I'm so sorry to hear about this Starlark! What's scary is it seems more and more people with the physical copy are cropping up with corrupted data issues. I know how angry I got when one of my Sims 3 towns got corrupted... I can't imagine how I'd feel if it happened to me with Animal Crossing. No doubt I'd be devastated, losing everything I've worked so hard to get.
Unfortunately I do not have much of anything that I could give you. None the less, if there's anything in particular that you're looking for, go ahead and let me know. I'll keep an eye out for it for you and let you know if I manage to get it for you. ^^
Edit: And this is why I should read everything before responding. I just saw now that you don't have this issue. BUT, on the plus side, it sounds like what you're experiencing is the same thing as on Sims 3 for me... let me try to explain.
Basically you've played for so much and so many different things have happened that the save data is starting to pile up excessively. To the point where now if you try saving too much new stuff, it just "corrupts" and is unable to save. Thus you have to save frequently now, so that you're adding less data to your save file. Unfortunately there's really not much you can do... you COULD move everything over to another town that you want to keep and then start your town over again if you really wanted to. Other than that though... nothing. Which is really sad, because I didn't realize that this issue would crop up with a game like this.
