My boyfriend has a digital omega ruby. It's currupted on him twice and he hasn't been able to finish the game.
Any ideas?

it could be his sd card?

There's like 9 other games downloaded and none of them are corrupt though.
I know I recently got the new xl and we switched it over to the new card. But it corrupted once before that when it was on the old xl and the old card. Now it's doing it again.

Hm, that's weird :o If it's not to late, he should take it back to the store and get a replacement or his money back. The game card itself is most likely defected

Has he ever tried any sort of hacking or AR device? While not common, I've heard that AR devices can sometimes corrupt data, and non-AR hacks can also mess with it.

Also, does he have the latest updates for the game? New updates came out for 6th gen games recently, which requires a download (I don't see why it would prevent any sort of storyline gameplay, as most of them deal with online play, but I'm just listing possibilities).

If the answer to the first question is "no", and the answer to the second question is "yes"...combined with seeing what other people have asked...he should contact Nintendo/the eShop about it.

I had a similar weird problem with Pokemon Y recently. Whenever I would enter the Pokemon center of this one town my game would give me an error screen, but when I went anywhere else it was fine. My game is digital as well. Doe sit crash on startup or when he's playing the game?

That's actually very strange. I didn't think digital copies would corrupt THAT much.

Do you have OR and AS digital copies on your SD card? If you do, sometimes the save data will clash because they are similar, causing data corruption.

That could maybe be it, that is really weird that, that happened, I am sorry about that.

That's not it either. We have a physical copy of one and digital of the other. The game has been updated, and he's never used any AR devices or anything because it's a digital one.
And like I said I have quite a few other games downloaded to the SD card like AC and others. Nothing is wrong with them. They play fine. :/

Have you tried re-downloading it from the store and checked the SD-card on your computer (cleaning it from **** and stuff)?
