So, I got back from the movie a little while ago...

Absolutely amazing. A work of pure genious. Henry Selick did a fantastic job.

It had the right amount of fun, and the right amount of nightmare-inducing darkness. : D

...This is totally not a film for children. Well, I guess it is...if parents enjoy scaring their kids, and having their kids get really confused...a lot.

Has anyone here seen it? If not, of course, you have to. If you did, what are your thoughts?

Yes, I saw it earlier today. It's by far one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. You could tell it's got NBC's director, it's got that same kind of overall...tone, you might say. I really liked it.

i can't wait for it to be released here in new zealand... we're a bit behind, you know.

but man, i remember watching the nightmare before christmas when it first came out in theatres... it seriously scarred me. it was so bad that even to this day some scenes in that movie freak me out... the guy turning into all those bugs and falling apart...

=*( 21 and that movie still bothers me just because i saw it at such a young age, lol.

Coraline was creepier then Nightmare, in my opinion.

Then again, I've watched Nightmare so much...I don't find it creepy at all these days.

I think while Nightmare may have had darker imagery...this one has darker messages, at certain points...It's hard to explain.

But yes, definately worth seeing when it releases where you are.

What's it about?
If it sounds any good i'll see if it's on near me.

To the person who asked, yes, I did see it in 3D. That was the only way to see it, sadly.

I don't like the whole 3D-takeover. ) :

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that.

That was...extremely disturbing...

Forget the scary/creepyness, that scene alone made it "not for kids".

Wow, what is so "scary" and "inappropriate for children" about an animated movie? I've never seen it..Which one is more inappropriate for children: the saw movies, halloween, or Coraline..
lol jk but..

What are you implying?

It's animated, so it can't be innapropriate for children?

If that's what you're saying, I don't even know where to begin.

You're incorrect on so many levels.
