Cool gifts from villagers

I started my town 3 days ago and my friendship level must be so high with Rod because he just gave me a bamboo shoot as a 'gift'.

Has this ever happened to you guys before? What gifts have your villagers gave you?

I've gotten hybrids, persimmons, bamboo shoots and the usual clothes, furniture, carpet and wallpaper. The best gift ever was a throne!

Villager pictures, bamboo, persimmons, furniture/walls/floors I'd been looking for, rare fruit, and hybrids. One time Cherry even sent me some orange lilies in the mail! (However, they're dead now... )

when Kiki first moved into my town from the campsite, she gave me during her first week: a throne, a white katana, and a black katana. I think the two swords were when I brought her perfect fruit, but the royal throne was out of the blue...

Biskit gave me a throne a few weeks back, but I gave it away because I have no use for a throne for my house theme.

I got bamboo from someone once way back when I had the second nookling shop. Best gift though was definitely the throne Sly gave me. Unfortunately, I gave it to my friend without knowing its value.

ha- just like Kiki! I put the throne she gave me up in the recycle shop one time at full retail price, really just as a storage space, and Kiki was in the shop and said "I-i-i-i had no idea thrones cost so much!"
