Hiya! I took a wander through your town and jotted down some notes. Here they are, for your consideration! (The order might hop around town a bit.)
Your bed lines up perfectly with the top of the wooden "bridge" at the bottom of your plaza, centered nicely.
Did you have a visitor in your plaza when you updated your dream town? Like Redd or Katrina or someone? There's a big square chunk of tile missing in your plaza right around that spot.
The clear, wide paths that take you through town are great.
The layout around the yellow bench with the bushes and flowers is really nice, as is the area with the rose arches.
The light sculptures behind the town hall are a nice little spot, though perhaps it could be landscaped a bit more with some bushes lining the path up to the arch and around the path by the clock (where possible). Same goes for the lovely iron bench to the right of Re-Tail. If a tree will fit to the left of that bench, it might seem like a more natural spot for someone to sit.
The red paving around Re-Tail didn't seem to fit to me...you could consider using the same cream path you use around town, if you have a blank centre tile for that pattern (you could make a wider, paved area with that tile.
The hot spring by your house is a nice touch!
I spent a lot of time thinking about the zen garden near your campsite. It's a nice layout/presentation, but it seems out of place there, given that the whole rest of that area is the bonfire, picnic area and mushrooms. In keeping with the camping theme, a bench or little foresty area might work better there. Which leads to the question...
Where would be a good spot for the zen garden? As it turns out, if you're up for moving it, you have a ton of options! You have a lot of open space on the left side of your town, so you could put it in the spot where your second, unlandscaped fountain is (which at present has a great sort of "abandoned" vibe to it, with the dandelion and clovers. Made me think of an old, forgotten fountain in a long-empty public square.). You could also put it somewhere left of the windmill - either in the open space to the south, where the grey paving is, or the great, big open space to the northwest of the windmill, where your paths currently form a cross with a green space in the middle (unless you were planning to put something else there?). One last potential spot for the zen garden would be to the left of the rose arches and the centre bridge, around where the land dips towards the river.
Speaking of that spot, you have an outdoor chair there, just below your landscaped fountain. I suggest creating a bit more unpaved space around it (e.g., no path to the north of it or leading up to it) and make that space a little more naturalized with a couple of flowers, or maybe another bush just north of the one already there (to the left of the chair).
You might also want to consider moving the fenced area (just south of Angus' house) over to the left by another space or two, so you can run your path past it.
There are a number of spots along the path through the west side of town where you could pop in more flowers and bushes and perhaps a few trees, though perhaps you're working towards that.
Hope the above was helpful! Thanks for sharing your dream and I'm looking forward to seeing it evolve!
