So today I had Astrid come up to me and give me a bread box, then she said something along the lines that I should thank Penelope for it instead of her, he is such a nice friend. Astrid thinks Penelope is a boy. XD
Anyone else have a villager that was confused about another villager's gender?
I've seen this happen on occasion, and I've heard that it's merely a translation error in certain strings of texts that occurred when the game was translated from Japanese to English.
The best instance of this was when I moved a villager from one of my towns to another, and they started speaking about me one day. It went something like this: "I wonder how my old pal Vapor is doing. He really was a great friend." He. Like me, all of my mayors are female, so the pronoun ambiguity was... a bit odd. Either way, these little quirks only add to the charm of ACNL in my opinion.
It's just a weird translation thing with converting everything to English, which I'm not sure why they don't check for things like that? (Not like it's a big deal, but still. NL has some weird glitches.)
