Friendship is this guy's everything!
He's always there for your friends because he is a genuinely nice person. They're always putting others above themselves just to make sure that everyone is happy. They definitely don't care about anything besides making and keeping friendships. I theorize that he threw out any and all other kinds of desires out just so he could put as many people as possible inside his heart.
