Compatible Villagers?

So... does anyone know how the relationships between villagers work?
Do their personalities have something to do with it?
Post in this thread for opinions and how your Villagers do between one another.

Supposedly it's to do with their personalities, according to the Wiki anyway, but I've seen some villagers with "conflicting" personalities get on really well, while those with good compatibility don't get along well. I wonder if the time spent together in a town influences it? I honestly have no idea, but I rarely see an angry villager in my town now because they've all been there for a while. Probably just a coincidence though.

It depends on the villager, really- I think species might also have something to do with it ^^; Dizzy gets along well with my normals and snooty, but Punchy doesn't- it might have to do with the fact that he's a cat and they're a dog, bird and mouse Though in general, I've noticed that jock/peppy, jock/uchi, lazy/uchi and lazy/smug pretty much always get along great ^u^ And with some combos like smug/uchi and jock/snooty, sometimes they'll hate each other and sometimes they'll love each other- again, it all depends ^^; I guess it's all kind of complicated, lol...

No, it's more than their personalities.

Because I had Crankies who hated Snooties and Jocks who were best friends with Lazys.

And someone even posted a chart of how it really works, I'm surprised it didn't make it to that ' reliable' wiki yet.

Villagers will usually get along either randomly or based on their species, star sign, and personally.
Random at best it seems.

Accfsally and Licorice's opinions seem to be more prioritized in villagers.

I think it's completely random. Some of them get on well and some of them don't it's that simple imo
