Not only is Mimikyu a sweet little cinnamon roll it also has an amazing ability. Disguise lets it tank a free hit with no damage done to it once per battle, which you can take advantage of to set up a free Swords Dance and is all around just fun to play with. Did I mention that it is cute?
Mimikyu is perfect. I just hate how popular it is. Like when Mega Gengar came out. When a Pokemon becomes popular, every other person has it, and it becomes annoying. And I don't wanna keep myself from having a Pokemon that I love because everyone else has it. BUT GOSH I HATE TRENDS. Nobody cared this much about Ghost types before, and now everybody and they mama wants one.
Lol so salty, and no I'm no hipster, but when everybody follows a trend we lose the variety and diversity that I love.
I didn't choose Mimikyu because I had Decidueye. I chose Comfey because I wanted a Fairy, and she was the only bet I got. She has Growth and Draining Kiss. So if you give her a Big Root, it'll heal herself pretty big, the only thing is. Comfey is quite frail. But that didn't stop me from completing the game.
If you don't want to risk that, then Mimikyu is better. It can not take a hit on the first turn. And it can learn the moves Play Rough, Shadow Claw and wait for it... Splash! (Z-Splash to be exact.) Use Normalium Z and have splash activated and your Mimikyu will have its attack stat rose drastically. This is perfect due to Mimikyu having the Disguise ability. So if you can somehow make it to where Mimikyu can not get attacked, its your que to activate the Z-Splash.
Yup. Mimikyu is way better. (But Comfey didn't fail me.)
Did I mention Solgaleo can do this too? That's right. Spoilers imcoming!
Catch a Cosmog post game at Lake of the Moone/Sunne. And evolve it to Solgaleo. It can use the Z-Splash as well, and hit hard.
