Color variation on Nook's Cranny spotlight items?

Well, I don't know if they're still spotlight items, but I'm talking about the expensive items in the upgraded Nook's Cranny, with the little bronze tag. I keep getting the same color variations!
3 silver kitchen islands
2 natural antique beds
2 natural antique clocks
2 blue/calligraphy hanging scrolls

Are these color-locked, or am I just having bad luck? I've seen other "spotlight" items than these, but haven't noticed much about their color variations. These couple items I've only seen in those colors, though. Anybody else??

yea the nook's cranny items are color-locked. i think redd provides items that aren't affected by color-lock. i feel like tree items & villagers gifts may not be color-locked, but this is only a hunch and needs confirmation.

try to pop as many balloons as you can! the ones that drops furniture/clothing will give you color variants you haven't gotten yet! :')

I don't believe the villagers are color-locked. Either the sprightly gnome or reliable gnome is color locked from Nook, but I wouldn't know because I can't remember which one I got first. I do recall getting a rebel gnome from Mott, though. I've never gone out of my way to collect gnomes from other players, either.

Yeah I've noticed this too.. I've gotten tomany furniture with the same color in my Nooks
