I'm a member tbh, there are many trolls on there, but i meet many nice ppl there ^^ most people are nice, other than the idiots that bully and the ppl who bell beg.

I haven't gotten Club Tortimer yet because after hearing everyone's horror stories, not sure if I am interested XD

There's an old thread of people sharing their horror stories here if you are curious.

Not to say to avoid it, lots of people really like it. I just haven't given it a shot.

I'm a member but I don't go anymore as I have all the Island items now. I only had one really bad experience there though, most people on the Island were very nice.

Don't forget those who purposely disconnect after you catch rare fish/bugs, just so you'll lose it! Had that happen a few times in the past- same goes with rare items from the shop too.

I'm a member. Chock full of trolls and immature people. Not really worth it imo.

A lot of 10 year old trolls tbh.. Like I was catching beetles and this boy comes begging me for money and some other boy comes and cuts down all the trees. :/ After that, boy 2 gives money to boy 1.. I was so furious that I reset once he got the money. Bottom line..if you're gonna get it, be careful. c:

I'm a member too. Although I've been pretty lucky not to run into any trolls or money beggars. The money beggars that I ran into were actually being nice about it so far. Its pretty risky if you wanna go to club tortimer or not. But if you want to take the chance go right ahead.

Some items can only be found on Club Tortimer. So if you want them you'll have to join or try finding them on a trading board.
If someone is bugging you or is a troll block them first. You'll never see them again. Than leave or go on a tour. You'll come back to an empty island after your tour. If you get stuck on the island with someone that wouldn't let you go hit the wifi switch.

For bug hunting use your own island. It's the safe there. If you arrive at CT and no ones there start a tour. Don't go on it. Go out and get the bugs. Once the box is full cancel the tour and leave. But there still is a chance you might lose the bugs when you leave.
The other night I was the only one there. When I went to leave it took forever to save and it error. Might have been when Nintendo was doing maintenance.

People like to exaggerate about how awful it is, it's really not that bad if you just disconnect when you find a troll. It's super helpful for getting rare island items, and if you like talking, it's sometimes nice to have conversations with the people you meet.

I forgot I had club tortimer. I went on there like, once or twice. I only go to the normal island because I don't want to meet jerks. I also only go at night for the golden beetles and junk like that for bells

I agree.

I personally find the trolls entertaining.It's mostly young kids trying to get your fc or force you to give them bells.They can't hurt you.One of my favorite things to do is copy the trolls.If they ask me for bells, then i start bugging them for bells.If they try to keep me hostage,then i act like i'm keeping them from leaving.It's funny to see the different reactions.Sometimes i pick on them.I just never use bad language or say anything real hurtful. And if they start to annoy me, i leave or flip the wifi.
