Hi everyone!

So, I have recently started going on some Club Tortimer trips, (despite the weird and horrible stories I've read) in order to get some of the cool stuff i.e. chocolate, silver axes, HAMMERS!, etc. Anyway, I was wondering if someone had some details on how rare it is to find certain things. Like, is it a 1 in 100 chance to get the whirlpool bath? Should I buy like 8 of them if I see them?! It's crazy how fast my medals disappear :'( I buy multiples because out of the 5 times I've gone to the island, I am meeting the wrong kinda people... I want to go to the island as little as possible now.

Does anyone have any interesting facts, stories, etc. that they would like to share? :)

You can find rare stuff on your own island if you are starting to get put off by the people you run into.
I found the toy hammers and whirlpool bath ... as well as the sea globe and treasure chest actually on my own island, not the region or international one. =3

And if you are wanting extra medals from bonus of playing with people and not wanting weird people, you can post in the Train Station here to get a group of people to go with you and play games to get lots of medals when you are running low. ^-^

Oh cool, thanks! When I'm not drowning in homework, I think i'll do just that! I've heard/read that you can only get certain wetsuits at CT only :( But yeah, I've found some pretty rare things at my place too XD. Kitchen Sink! Now I regret not buying more... Oh well :) Thanks again!

I'm not one to collect or look for wet suits, so I am unsure if that is truth or not.

But it is always nice to play on your own island with friends... then if you go play with others, if you happen to run into a bad bunch but there is an item you really want there, you already have the medals you want to buy it up before heading home.

I wish that I kept a tally of how long it took me to find stuff on Club Tortimer. The only things I have yet to find are the Sand Castle and the Sanshin, I believe, but I've easily gone there 200+ times. It's not 1 in 100, but it's also not 1 in 10 either, from my experience. When they say "rare," they mean it. Honestly, if you get tired for one night, I'd recommend just trying again later. You end running into the same island over and over again (with the same people), which gets awkward.

If you keep running into people you don't want to run into, maybe try going to Club Tortimer on different times of the day or days of the week? If you have time to, that is. I noticed that you'll run into different crowds. For example, I find that if I go during the early noon-afternoon hours, I usually end up seeing really young kids who may or may not be annoying (most I've run into are polite, just very, uh, forward). Going on later at night, you see more adults, but with that comes the creepy people or the trolls.

i had someone dressed in a suit wearing a hockey mask follow me around the island swinging the axe at my head. all i wanted was a butterfly for a villager. left the island really fast once i got one. another time there was someone who wouldn't let me leave unless i paid 1mil....tricked him into thinking i wanted to go on a tour and left right away.
