The island in general is only for getting the cabana and mermaid series, and starting your profits. Once you hit past 1 mil bells, then turnip trading becomes extremely profitable. No reason to go back to either.

Probably nothing. You'll never see them again so it wont matter xD

I actually like using Club Tortimer. ^-^ Even though I don't need the money, I find it relaxing to fish for sharks and hunt beetles. Most people don't talk, or are awkward when they do. It is hard to strike a conversation with a stranger. Although I've run into jerks that've cussed me out and held me hostage (just remain calm. You have to realize how pathetic they are for doing that on a game. If you're held hostage, just relax and take your sweet time. They'll most likely get annoyed and leave, or you can always error home. Never give them what they want, or they'll continue to harass others!) but I've also met good people who I'm still friends with.

I visit to collect the Club's exclusive items. Other than that I'd rather just visit the island on my own. I don't have any horror stories though, people have generally been very polite to me, no issues. Sometimes when visiting internationally they don't speak the same language though, lol.

I used to have a Club Tortimer membership (in my old town). In my new one, I've not gotten any medals whatsoever. The mini-games take far too long to get any amount of medals that's worth having. I can just buy island-only items on here & not waste my time island hopping to find it.

I think it had potential when it was first released, but nobody really goes anymore.

I've tried it before, and had a very nice conversation with a girl from Japan (who could speak English!) I've also gotten to play mini-games with another person. I've gone about 3 times, and everything has gone pretty well so far! It's definitely fun, and I don't have any preference of which island I prefer (mine or Club Tortimer).

I use to visit the island constantly to get mermaid furniture, the cute umbrella table with fancy fizzy drink and the cute fish globe.
I now only go to catch bugs to get bells: being poor sucks!
Also I should point out I used it to get the fruit in my town and to hijack it's flowers to plant in my town to make hybrids.

I haven't visited the island in a long time, partly out of laziness but also because it's awkward 85% of the time.

I did have one really nice experience there though! I met a nice guy from England and we swapped friend codes so he could visit my town. Apparently I was the first town he's ever visited and he gave me a golden screen before he left. I haven't played with him since but that screen is prized possession.
