how did they distribute the demo codes? I've heard they were given to platinum members but I'm a platinum member and I didn't get one. Is it only for certain people?

Nope it was given to all members that were platinum last year, have notifications on, and registered a 3DS. If you did all 3, you got it. There was never any "random distribution."

yes i have 3 3ds's registered
Select few meaning that you met the requirements. I checked Nintendo's support page and if you met them, you got it. It never said anything about random selection.
Or coins if you live in N.A.

oh well it comes out for everyone else in 2 days so i guess it's okayy.... maybe
