Clothing in Villagers house

I have a villager that I got from someone, and they gave him the fairy/pixie dress which he's now using as furniture.. Is there any way to remove the outfit from his house?? I really hate seeing it when I go in there ;_;

I think thay the most common solution that I have seen to this is to give him furniture that fits with his house's theme, and hope that he replaces the furniture that you don't like with your presents. Good luck!
