Wow, I had no idea.
I'll try and format it but my computer has way too many things I need on it.
If I can't format it, I'll just try and delete the programs/items I don't need.

Thanks for the help Jas0n and all.
It's a sacrifice of time and effort to return your computer to optimal speeds. You can't expect it to return to normal by just uninstalling programs, since they'll just stick in your registry, anyways.

That's why you buy an external hard-drive, they're really cheap nowadays.

Just back up all your pictures, documents and applications that you can't re-download or install from a disc easily and then reformat, then plug your hard-drive in your clean computer and put them all back on. It's pretty simple.

Plus uninstalling things leaves gaps in your memory, and it takes your computer that much longer to search for files when you do stuff.

Like I said before, If you delete something, go to the disk defragmenter.

Heres my specs from what i know:

Windows XP Home Edition (its 3years old ish)
Idk the memory i just know its a Laptop, maybe 4gig?
I cannot remember what Intel thingy it has coz i recently lost the sticker xD
I do cache clean up at least 3 times a month and Defragment once in a blue fit.
Theres barely any files on there.
But i have had windows about Virtual memory before

ehhh... I can't help any further... It's my parents who know stuff like that, not me XD

It's pretty hard to mess it up, just aslong as you have your Windows disc and serial code. It's different if you have a Dell computer though as Dell build a backup of Windows into an extra internal hard-drive and then they don't supply a Windows disc.

@M12+Jason: A disk? Hmm, I'm pretty sure I have so Windows XP ones and I think I may have a <small>pirated</small> Windows 7 one. Thanks for the help and I'll start formatting tommorow :D

Excellent. Windows 7 should be installed pronto. You'll have an evaluation copy until you decide to buy the product key, so you should be set for 30 days.

Yes, to reinstall Windows on your computer after wiping it you'll need a Windows disc and a working serial code.

A <small><small><small><small><small><small>pirated</small></small></small></small></small></small> one will work too, but obviously real is better :P

<small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small>That's not to say I've not used pirated ones before ;X</small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small>

@Jason+M12: Thanks again, I'll try and see if it comes with the key (which I doubt), If not I'll just buy one.

Get ccleaner, it's really helpful. And it's safe.

MAC! *runs out*

But no, seriously... um might want to go through and see what you don't use/need anymore and uninstall it. check for viruses, or like someone else said you might be losing memory or something.

I got tired of the freaken crap that I had with my windows OP for my desktop so I said "screw it" and went to Mac and will never go back. xD

He wasn't even talking to you.
.-. That was to Rogar. And who cares. >|:
I know it was to Rogar... but he wasn't talking to you in the first place!
Well I hate Mac too. D:
*facepam* You really have no idea what you're talking about.
There is no need to say "I love you too ;D", when you too hate macs. It doesn't make any sense.
