Hey, My PC has started been getting slower and It's kind of getting on my nerves.

Do you have any idea why this is happening?
Or
What I can do to make it faster?

Thanks ^_^

*wants to know as well*

Mine is Windows Vista Home Premium?

What's yours Josh?

1. What operating system do you have?
2. When was the last time you scanned your computer for viruses, spy ware, and so on?
3. Have you downloaded any software/anything recently?

@Jason: Same as you.
@Rogar: Is it safe? If it is I'll try.
@Jak.: Eh. 1GB RAM, 136GB. I have 62.3GB Space left.
@Nixie: Well, I do have quite a lot of things.
@MrMr: I hate Macs D:

I'd suggest reformatting, if you've had your computer for a while it'll naturally get slower and bogged down, the only (easy) way of sorting that is completely wiping it.

If you have stuff you want to keep, you'll have to buy an external hard-drive and back it up to put back onto your computer after you've reformatted.

I recommend One-Click Maintenance 2010.

Fixes things in 1-Click as advertised.

I have it too and it's 100% safe.

This is the only true way to speed up your computer. Adding yet another program that promises to lighten the load on the computer seems redundant, doesn't it?

Edit: Also, upgrade to Windows 7 as soon as possible.

Oh you only have 1GB of RAM? That's probably another reason.

If you have Windows Vista that uses 1GB of RAM standard, so you have nothing for anything else really xD

Even if you're on Windows 7, that uses 500MB of RAM, in conjunction with the rest of your applications, you're still gnna experience slow speeds.

1GB of RAM is such a small amount nowadays, the standard is at the very least 2GB.

I was the one who asked for specs. :P
Anyways, 1 GB is very little. Upgrade your RAM. Just go out and buy some more, it shouldn't run you more than $50.

Well in that case, I take it you have windows. I'm not sure where it is on Windows Vista or Windows 7, but for XP, I do know.

Go to:

Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Then choose "Disk Defragmenter" or "Disk Cleaner"

It might help. Just keep running it over and over again.

Yes, this.

DO NOT use applications that "speed up" your computer. Granted they could have minimal results, but the true fact is that they're a load of rubbish.

The only thing I may recommend, if you know what you're doing is cleaning your registry, but if you have no idea, then stay away from doing that.

Wow, I had no idea.
I'll try and format it but my computer has way too many things I need on it.
If I can't format it, I'll just try and delete the programs/items I don't need.

Thanks for the help Jas0n and all.
