Smash Bros Clones (semi clones) or Originals?

I use whoever I like better. I like Lucina better than Marth because she looks nice, Mario>Dr. Mario because classic Mario is better, Toon Link>Link solely because he fights better imo. I use both Pits so...

well, Lucas is my all time favorite Smash Character. He is considered a semi-clone of Ness according to many opinions. So,semi-clones I guess

The Semi-Clones in Brawl were great, especially Lucas.

Gonna miss him, but thankfully they buffed Ness to compensate Lucas' lost.

He's one of my mains in Melee and Smash 4 for a reason.
A much better Mario.

I'm fine with clones; Sakurai's stated that they hardly take up development time. And if they hardly take up development time, why not add them? More characters, y'know?

Although I would love more pikmin reps, to be fair in their respective games, alph and olimar essentially have the exact some role, whereas dark pit and pit at least have some different theatrics

While I have no real problem with clones and semi-clones, overall I prefer originals. I just wish they hadn't cut certain characters in favour of some of the clones/semi-clones.
