I’m terraforming and remembered some fish only spawn on clifftop rivers. But I’m not sure what constitutes as one? Does it have to be a certain level? 3rd only or could it either be 2nd or 3rd? Also, does it have to have a wider river mouth or is the default river width (same as the river itself which is normally 4 squares) suffice?

A clifftop river is any river on either the 2nd or 3rd level. You can have a 3x3 square of water on the 2nd level attached to a waterfall and it will spawn clifftop river fish. If your body of water is not attached to a waterfall, it has to be long enough relative to its width to be a river and not a pond (to test this, cast your rod into the water and if the hook moves it's a river and if it doesn't move it's a pond). Your body of water has to be at least 3 spaces wide at some point to spawn fish naturally.
