Hi guys. So I have my 10th villager in boxes. I want to let someone adopt him (as I see this person asking form my villager a lot, and I know it would make them happy). But I'm worried that if I let them come over to adopt my 10th villager, I'll end up getting someone from their reject pool.

Keep in mind I plan on staying on the same day until I get my dreamie, either from someone else or my campsite. So if I find my dreamie and ask them to move in, will it over-ride the reject from this adopter's pool that might potentially be about to move in to my town?

I really want to help this person out, and also not void my cute villager if someone wants him. But my dreamie is Marshal, and I don't want to go through all the trouble of getting him, then have it be messed up. Please help! :)
 
If you TT one day so your tenth is out after he/she is adopted, no plot should have showed up I believe. So you can stay on that day and no one will override your move in when you invite Marshal!
 
This thread is relevant to my interests! I am arranging a trade and when my trade partner comes by to adopt Lucky, I really, really don't want anyone getting in the way of me adopting of Chester.

@ LyraVale- this is a noob question, but how do you stay on the same day in-game while still generating new campers?

I'm guessing that on the day when your villager is going to move out, you start the game with a new character, check the campsite and if there's someone you like; save with the new character. If not; quit the game and repeat.

If you TT one day so your tenth is out after he/she is adopted, no plot should have showed up I believe. So you can stay on that day and no one will override your move in when you invite Marshal!

Actually, in my case that wasn't true. I had my tenth villagers in boxes, let someone come to my town to adopt them and the next day I loaded up my game, I had a plot for their voided villager.

I'm not sure if you can avoid this by inviting a new villager after your tenth one has agreed to move (so their house is still there, but there is a sign saying they moved out). Someone else would need to confirm that!

You have to pull the clock back to the start of the day, as many times as needed. Don't ever go back before 6AM though, because then you would be going back an entire day (since 6 AM is when the day starts in ACNL). I usually just pull back to 7AM. I've done it for a week once.

Also, you shouldn't ever load on that day with one of your existing characters. Create a New Save File and go to your camp. If it's someone you like, save the new character. If no camper, or someone you don't like, then reset the game. Repeat. Just make sure to never use an existing character, because when Isabelle is "preparing" your town, she is actually saving it, so everything will be set for the day. Hope this made sense, if you need more info, look up camp reset, villager reset, or plot reset. It's all the same concept.

I don't think you can ask anyone to move in when the 10th is in boxes, but is it possible when their door says "moved out"? Because that would be the only way then. :C UGH this is the dumbest idea Nintendo/AC EVER had lol. SO frustrating....
 
When I was getting rid of my 10th villager, I just made a rule where the person had to visit my cycle town first if there was a possibility of a villager in their void pool. If you want, you can have them visit my cycle town just in case?

Going by what I found on another forum, it seems possible. But I don't think I've ever seen anyone mention it here on this forum?
 
Thank you, Libra and LyraVale, for your replies! I've definitely rolled new characters to scout for campers, so I think I now get the gist of how to do this to fend off any unwelcome new villagers, fingers crossed. :)

Aw, thank you for the offer. ^^ But then I'm worried the poor person would end up with a reject from your cycle town??...instead of being able to invite my villager. Or would the invited villager trump the reject? lol, so confusing!

I'm pretty sure the invited villager would override the voided one if it's done on the same day. If you want to be extra sure, they could come after someone adopts one of my cycle villagers.

This is so nice of you....IDK if they will be willing to do this, since they are not on TBT, but I'll ask them anyway. :D Thanks again for offering!
