Classic Controller/Gamecube Controller?

Does a classic controller work as a Gamecube controller or would I have to buy both seperately?

Classic Controllers are more widely compatible with newer games than the GameCube one....
I would get the Classic Controller, but in terms of comfort, you should get the GameCube one.
Gamecube controller is only compatible with a handful of Wii games though.....

Nope. Classic Controller is not backwards compatible.
Only gamecube controllers may be used for Gamecube Games

No problem.
I recommend using the Gamecube Controller for games like Brawl and Mario kart wii....makes the controls smoother and easier

i definitely prefer classic controller bc it's WIRELESS!!

I only really needed to know because I'm buying Animal Crossing for GC with my christmas money and needed to know if I would need to buy a GC controller.

I'd recommend the Gamecube controller.
It's my favorite controller design to date.

i would get the GC one but i dont think all of the games are compatible with it so i guess classic one
