Class Officers/Student Council

We have both, and I'm running for a class office position. Thing that sucks, is that it's a popularity contest. It doesn't matter if the person is intelligent, they just have to be popular. But I could only run for one of the other, so I chose class officers.

Does your school have either of these?

We have School Council at our school, but it seems to be the unpopular people of the class end up with the role.

I used to be on Student Council back when I went to school. Now, not so much.

Yeah we have class officers and a president. But ours isn't a popularity contest, our school actually votes for people who would do well with the job.

i had sudent council in elementary school. :S

Yeah, we have one, but the school teachers and administration choose the roles based on school performance so it's not a popularity contest.

We do, I would easily be one but I would be too lazy to go to meetings :/

We have student council, and I like the way its a popularity contest....
Well, the class reps are just a popularity contest, the student council is picked by teachers and its only students from the last two years in it...

We have a student council, and it's not a popularity contest since all the "cool" kids don't want to have to do any actual work.

Ours is a mix of both popularity and being silly, and pres is usually someone who would look stupid for the yearbook picture.
