Hiya! I just restarted my town and want to hear opinions, as well as whether these are common names:
Daybloom - I think this and the one below are cute but maybe a bit obvious
Sunbloom
Rainbell - would be centred around a bell in the middle of town and have a mainly blue/white colour scheme
Eventide - I think this might be from Zelda?
Nonesuch - Kind of silly
Hanagawa - would aim for a traditional Japanese village. (-gawa is a common place name suffix meaning "river" and "hana" just means "flower" in this case. Not the most conventional Japanese town naming scheme, but meh, it's Animal Crossing.)
Thanks for any input!! I'm indecisive
EDIT: I forgot one more on my shortlist -- "Moss".
Nice names! Eventide sounds murky cool, but Rainbell seems very sweet and cute. Nonesuch you could probably do something interesting with your town or a surprise and Hanagawa very happy and bouncy to me, I voted for Eventide
I voted for Nonesuch as it is both original and mysterious leaving anyone who comes across your town wondering about what the town has to offer. You could be creative as you want with this town, even changing themes at any given time you want, because this name holds no specific theme inside of its name whereas the other names do have a theme.
Wow, thanks for all the input and well wishes, everyone! I'm going with Rainbell for my main town and will save Nonesuch and maybe Eventide for creative side towns.
I voted for Rainbell after the fact, oops. haha I am just commenting to say:
1. Nonesuch is also a cool name. Kind of gives you the feel you walked into a town that doesn't actually exist.
2. Eventide reminds me of Neopets because it's a paintbrush color. haha
