Hi.

I am selling a chocolate cake collectible for 4k Bells. This is a set price, and I am not interested in trading.

I am also not interested in comparing my price to the collectibles guide, as it is a guide rather than a law book, and there will be other opportunities for you to get the chocolate cake at a lower price if this one is unacceptable to you.

Not sure if you mean a collectible higher than 1000 Bells cannot be accepted on principle, or based on what you have, but in either case hope you are able to get the chocolate cake soon despite the setback here.

As for me, lost 2800 Bells from a silly mistake in the shop, so particularly wanting in Bells right now.

How did you lose 2800? :(

I'm sorry that happened. If I have 3,000 TBT Bells, I'll send it to you for nothing. But right now, I don't have that money. I need to stay on the site longer.

I learned a new trick: clicking 'purchase' really fast to stack collectibles, rather than changing the number on the checkout page. Unfortunately, what I did not anticipate was the page auto-refreshing right away, and me clicking silver mailbox four times.

I was aware of the mistake and changed the silver mailbox count to zero, but to no avail: after checkout, I still got the four silver mailboxes.

Only my stupidity is to blame: I later noticed that the 'delete' button was directly to the right of the silver mailbox count on the checkout page, and that I should have clicked that rather than resetting the count.

Unfortunately, I am not sure if a refund is possible, though I am holding out of the possibility through the private message I sent to one of the forum staff.

Oh, though I very much appreciate the gesture, I would recommend holding onto the 3000 Bells, so that you may get that chocolate cake you want sooner.

Also, I have enough in collectibles to make far more than the amount of Bells I lost.

Tempting...

I legit almost bought a gold mailbox during the restocks lol.. I know the feel.

I'm actually fine from the chocolate cake. It looks like a yellow cake with chocolate sauce over while the other cake looks like a enlarged little Debbie fancy cake shrank in an icon.

I can tell that chocolate cakes are more valuable than diamonds.

Had to get the mailbox upgrade: the default size meant I was organizing private messages a lot. It is ridiculous how much space this gold super mailbox has given me.

Just remembered what saddened me most about the four silver mailboxes: they cannot be gifted, so I could not simply be content to give them to other members.

A yellow cake with chocolate sauce seeks a new owner.

Please be aware that a lower price is being offered by at least one other seller, so if you are tight on Bells, the other seller may be preferred.

Oh this is what you messed up on... sorry to hear that. :(

Still I find that odd, changing it to zero should of erased it completely?

Yes, so I thought, as there is no 'update quantity' button next to it (only a 'delete' button), so I thought changing the number was enough. So perhaps '0' is an unrecognized quantity, and checkout goes with the original quantity added to checkout regardless of what number you change it to. The reason I imagine this theory might play out in practice is a seemingly related post recently submitted by Sholee in 'Guide of suggested median prices of collectibles':

BUT for some reason, the updating quantity feature is a little buggy? Cause sometimes it doesn't register the amount you typed in and it will only purchase 1. Just letting you guys know.
So maybe the member above wanted more, but got '1' since that was the original quantity, whereas I wanted less (in this case '0') but got '4' since that was the original quantity, and this would be a bug that randomly comes into play.

Then again, maybe I am misunderstanding what was said above. And maybe I thought I replaced the original quantity with '0' when I actually raised it to '40,' but only got '4' silver mailboxes since that was all I could afford.

Decided I would gift this instead. Anyone who figures out to who gets a free ice cream swirl*, but I am not holding my breath, bahaha.

* Offer goes only to first person who correctly guesses, and is valid for one week starting today.
