As reported by NintendoSmash, they take care of others' islands. They water the plants etc. In return, you'll have to pay.

A strange concept, tbh...since there are no real repercussions to failing to water plants this time around. It seems like your flowers never actually die...they just won't produce hybrids if you fail to water them. Worst case scenario, you forget to water them and have to wait another day for a chance at hybrids. I wouldn't see that as something worth paying for, though. Now...maybe if they collect your spawning fossils/fruit and store them somewhere for you to collect when you return. That is really the only thing I'd see being useful. Even then, it's not like you can have them do that without starting up your game and letting them in each day. You couldn't have them play in the times when you aren't able to. So...yeah, the whole concept seems like a waste to me.

You apparently have a higher chance at getting hybrids if you have other players water your flowers, so I can see the benefit in that. The article states there are a few different services they offer, too, watering flowers is just one of them.

Yeah, I know...but is pulling weeds really something people have a problem with either? I pulled all of mine in the beginning, and they rarely grow back. It's actually to the point where I occasionally need to visit a Nook mystery island just to steal weeds for a recipe...Lol.

If I have to pay someone else to play my game for me, I just won't play my game.

huh that’s kinda strange. but i guess some people are a bit desperate for money rn given the circumstances

Its strange that people are using real money to help each other there, I wouldn't really pay in real currency just to get help for my island, but really unusual info.
