Changing Villager's Clothes?

Hi! I received Diana a while back, but she is wearing the duck tank that starts in Able Sisters. I've changed all the designs there currently to umbrellas which I think means they won't wear them (?) However, I would really appreciate it if someone could help me figure out how to get Diana to change clothes <3

I think the easiest way is to write her a letter with whichever shirt you want her to wear attached. Then change the time to right before mail comes (9am and 5pm) and see if she’s wearing it after the mail arrives. If she’s wearing it, success! If not turn off the game without saving and try again. Good luck!

I think the easiest way is what Moonfish said. I've also gotten reallyyyy lucky before if I carry around the shirt I want them to be in in my pockets, one time the villager asked me when i talked to them if they could have it and then wore it
But that's definitely not a tried and true method or anything lol

Just send letters everyday with shirts attached until she changes. I had to deal with this when there was a zap suit trend in my town. It spread like a virus and i hated every minute of it. But now when they show me the letters its funny because i usually threatened them to wear what i sent them lol

Ah thank you! Haha Diana's actually moving out (I do love her but her house placement annoys me) but if this happens again then I'll mail them their original shirt
