Change house shape

Maybe I'm being stupid but I cant seem to change my house shape (i.e from the defult to the cottage or log cabin etc). It only gives me the other customizable options? Can this only be done when your home is fully complete?

Yes, you need to fully upgrade your house before you can change the shape. Until then all you get is roof & door options.

Fab thank you... all the guides I had read didnt specifiy at what point it gets unlocked.
