Change friendship level using toy hammer?

So I been trying to do this currently. I am now trying to TT out Papi for another person who wants him to fill up her/her last spot. During my TT I had my bestie Barold and Nibbles pinged me twice, and Rizzo, Paula who had highf riendship with me. In order not to let this happen again I whack them with toy hammer but treating Papi in other way, doing his request and talk to him everyday(yes I do ignore some of them). Will hitting them with hammer, lower our friendship and make Papi consider has the highestf riendship with me? Papi just came to my town not long ago but I realized I wasn't so fond with him so decided he should go to a better home.

I think I've heard hitting with nets and hammers does little to nothing. Just keep working on befriending Papi, and try sending him letters and stuff, too. If you want your friendship to sink, I think ignoring the villagers you want to keep might help. Just make sure to keep talking to other villagers enough to find out if they're moving in time.

Nono I not hitting Papi with hammer but the others haha cause I want to lower their friendship so they will not ask to move and hopefully this can make Papi have higher friendship so he will move sooner than get other ping! Will that work??

Most of the time I talk to Peppy because they re so reliable to tell me whos gonna move out. Plus I know the method of what day villager CONFIRM pinging me. But after hit them all none of them ping me on the date should be ping so I tt-ed another date and someone other ping me~Guess I will do the mean and slightly ignoring on my beloved(it hurt a little to do this to them) and get Papi out asap. Someone had been waiting eagerly for him.

Ohhh!! yea cause I knew he wasn't long in my town so I really worry he can be stubborn (I have many holding villagers for me and telling me how stubborn it can be) so I tried to annoy my villagers and get Papi to have the highest friendship so when reaches the day of pinging (usually 3-5 days after one ping) and hopefully Papi have the highest chance xD

I believe its the villager own friendship level with you, and not as compare to others, that will let it ping you.
You can safety talk to others as per normal, and papi will still ping you once enough level is reach.

Oww I see....no wonder on the day I hit-ed all of them no one ping me until I TT-ed another day and Roald TT me, I am mostly afraid of Barold ping me as he is the only one I wouldn't want to lost in any accident!!!
