Alright, I have a little challenge that I want to experiment with. I made a thread about this before, but it died. So, I decided to make a giveaway!
Rules:
1. Make a room! Easy, right?
2. Nope! Not easy at all. You must spend no more than 25000 bells on the room. And to put more salt in your wounds about all your ideas that cost a ton:
-no unorderables
-no fruits/flowers
-no fossils
-no gyroids
-no mannequins
-no GracieGrace items
-no designs
-no items that can't be ordered from a catalog
3. Refurbishing doubles the value of an item. Refurbishing with designs is allowed. Refurbishing with clothing is allowed. The cost of the clothing will not be tacked on with the total. Music Albums in CD players count as 0, but if they're hung on a wall it's 3200.
4. The value it'd be to order it from a catalog is the price used in the 25k.
5. You must furnish an 8x8 room. 4x4 isn't a challenge at all!
6. Uh...that's it! So, let's get on with prizes.
7. Winners are hand-picked based on effort, creativity, and use of space, etc.
Prizes:
1st place: 600k and a free 400k to spend at my shop
2nd place: 300k and a free 100k to spend at my shop
3rd place: 100k
The giveaway will be canceled should there be less than four entries. Entries close one week from now.
How to enter (pick one. Doing both does not count for a second entry):
1. Post your DA, specify your character, and which room it's in.
2. Post 2 pictures of the room, listing all of the items and their cost. I tried taking one snapshot to cover the entire room. That ended up a failure.
3. (Mandatory for both) Write at least 50 words about your room. (ex. talk about why you put in the furniture, what the overall theme is, etc.)
Spend wisely, and good luck! Winners will be notified over PM, and will be given 24 hours to claim, 1 week to pick up.
