certain characters just not showing up at your island?

idk if this is just me being paranoid or what, but most of my friends have gotten flick & celeste at their islands multiple times. i've been playing two weeks and haven't found them a single time (no time traveling involved, except for the first 3 days of the game). and i also haven't gotten another campsite villager (i have 10). is this normal/is anyone else experiencing this? or should i start to get worried that my game is glitched out?

(I've been playing since launch too) I'm not really sure how the campsite works, I have only had one camper, and it was the one they give you in the start. I think in this game it's a lot more rare? or uncommon for villagers to stay at your campsite at least. And for the special NPCs maybe you just missed them? maybe? I have seen Flick a lot, but I have only seen Celeste 3 times, I have seen CJ a handful of times as well! I do TT a lot, and only see Flick / Saharah the most~

CJ has not visited my island ever. The first time i saw him was the fishing tourney. So i think its just RNG

I started since launch and played everyday (don't TT). So far I've only had 2 campers, Flick visited once and Celeste hasn't visited at all

Also since launch, I’ve had Celeste twice, Flick once, and CJ twice. Today is the first time I’ve had a camper since the tutorial. I think you’re probably just having bad luck, unfortunately, but the game is pretty glitchy so I’d keep an eye on it for now.

wow lol, i didn't even know cj could come to your island. thanks y'all for your input ! i think i just have had super bad luck with visits to my island but i'm just getting a bit fed up of having time traveling friends have flick coming around multiple times a week while i'm sitting here waiting.
