Cats. Everywhere. Cats.

In my previous town I had three horses: Peaches, Victoria (I think), and Colton. Peaches and Victoria. were starting villagers, while Colton moved in randomly later on. Though Colton moved out not too long after moving in.

I reset earlier this month, and the same thing is happening, but with ducks. I got Deena and Freckles as starters. Then Miranda and Quillson moved in randomly (they were part of my first four move ins — my other two were Rooney and Pashmina, which I scanned in the former). So, I have four ducks in total. To think all of these are random in some way.

I have Pashmina moving out soon. I wonder if the game is gonna give me a fifth duck to replace her. 😭😂

And if I didn’t scan in Rooney, I wonder if I would’ve gotten another duck. XDDDD

Guys maybe I'm wrong but a few years ago I downloaded an app from Play Store(ACNL:Wiki) to keep tracking my progress in New Leaf, and this app also shows the compatibility among villagers in your town. I found out the results of compatibility are calculated based on this fan-theory which has several reliable sources(such as official Animal Crossing guidebooks for zodiac signs compatibility)
https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Compatibility#:~:text=Compatibility%20is%20fan%2Dterm%20for,%2C%20neutral%2C%20or%20bad%20relationship.

Then I noticed my first 5 villagers had a great compatibility, and the random villagers chosen by the game algorithm who came later had always a good compatibility, indeed I had multiple villagers of same species too.
Maybe it's just a coincidence, but who knows!

I was today years old when I found out about this LOL! No wonder Kiki and Pecan get along so well! I love this chart!

And to answer the thread, yes I find myself with 4 cats on my island at the moment. I absolutely adore cats so I wouldn't be mad if my island was full of them!

My town of Wagtales, DA below, has five cats and five dogs. By design, of course, with cards. They all get along famously! In real life, though, I strongly prefer cats!

I would love to have so many cat villagers I have only ever had Katt in my town before. I find her design a bit creepy though so she didn’t stay around for long.

Should I have started a frog town or a squirrel town after this?

In my 3rd town, there are currently 4 squirrels. Filbert, Hazel, Cece, and Viché.
Though of course the last two are my fault because I scanned my Splatoon Amiibos...
But I still think it's interesting. Previously I only ever had Hazel, in my 2nd town. I regret moving her out so I am glad she has reappeared in this town.

Out of pure luck, my town for the longest time was 5 sheep villagers. I LOVED it. I think one or two of them moved away but I still have Vesta, Pietro, and Frita running around. I remember having Muffy but completely forget who the 5th one was. I think she had blue fur
