catch phrase changed (anyway to change it back?)

One of my villagers, Cherry, used to say "what what", now she says "uhuh" or something like that. I figure the catch phrase changed originally because I reported her as a problematic citizen. I tried to report her again but the catch phrase won't change again. Is it possible that it can be changed back, if I try reporting yet again? Or no? thanks in advance!

whenever you report villagers for catchphrases, it goes to "uh-huh"
to get her catchphrase changed, you have to wait until she pings you and asks you to change it

Yup just like Panda said you've gotta wait til she pings you! And I'm sure you know a way to get villagers to ping you is to do something else and then walk around them (sometimes they won't ping you if they think you "look tired/like a zombie").
I understand though XD I remember when Lolly took on Bob's catchphrase which is "ptthppthp" or something and it just killed her elegant-ness lmao.

Along with waiting for them to ping you to change their catchphrase they also take other villagers catchphrases sometimes so maybe you can get lucky and Cherry will take a villagers catchphrase that's good.

Some villagers pick up others catchphrases. I don't really see it as much of a problem though.

That "uh uh" is the standard catchprase of the game. When a villager has one you don't like and you report it, he/she will always say that until you get asked by them to change it.
