All the talk of graduation and moving onto the next stage of life has got me thinking about the classic question.
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
I've flopped it around several times, but I think I finally have a firm grasp of what I'd like to be.
Right now, I'm currently deadset on the path of a Psychologist. I've always been interested it before, but I'm taking a Psych class in my school right now and its really peaked my interest.

What do you guys intend on doing when you're older and/or if you have a career now, what is it?

If I get into a university or college, I'll probably go for business or medicine.
That'll probably change sooner or later though.

I have just gotten a certificate in Computer Information Technology, but I made a mistake in expecting to graduate into a job market where it would be easy to find an employer looking for recent graduates with less than 1-2 years of experience in the field. So right now I'm applying to anything I can, hoping I get to find anything using my education before I have to start paying back my student loans.

That's what I'll not be looking forward to at all if I get into IT after I graduate high school this year.

Just make sure you network, and throughout the entire program keep an eye out for who is or will be hiring. But networking is the important thing, so see who your teachers know.

I only did the two year program, but there a lot of different certifications you can also get (A+, vendor-specific, etc) that may increase your chances, IF that is what the hiring company is looking for.

And make sure it is something you like. Partway through the program I discovered I had a knack for graphic design, but I had already switched from an engineering course so I just continued on.

That's definitely what I intend on doing. Right now I have an application sent in for a community college IT program. Depending on how well I do, I'm going to consider transferring my credits to a university to continue for another two years. I dunno, a community college degree to me wouldn't seem appealing for anyone hiring, but I half-assed my math course so unless I want to return for a semester to retake grade 12 mathematics, I'll have to settle for a community college for the time being.

I've grown an interest in architecture and graphic design.
I want to be an architect that writes poetry and makes art on the side.
Then another part of me wants to go onto the medical field because of my parents.
I really don't know what to do yet.

I don't want to be the type of person that switches their major every time and wastes money.
;__;

i've got a place in three universities to study architecture, not sure which i'll accept yet!

PFFFFTTT!!!! I laughed louder and harder than I probably should be doing this early in the morning. Classic, now I'm going to be whistling that song all week.

I guess I should be a bit more specific, I work in a place with one of the most notorious unions in the world. They literally do every thing in their power to stop the company from being able to fire employees for any thing. The base pay is about 20 bucks an hour, and in about 3 46 hour weeks I've probably done literally 20 hours of honest work.

I plan to work in the zoology career but I wouldn't mind doing some modeling on the side.

I also wouldn't mind working as a stripper or even a pole dancer (would prefer stripper tho) in the night.
